i use the viar 88 and it works great. compact easy to stow. i have no complaints on mine and have used it several times to air up my 10 ply ko2s. The only things to look out for is never ever run it without the truck running and watch out for the spots not covered by the rubbery handle. it gets toasty and will brand your hand.

I'm curious on how you like the digital tire gauge? I have considered it, but I'm. It too sure
Mine crapped out after three uses. I got it from a reputable dealer who Ive done alot with and who sells a ton of ARB so he did right by me. My new one is still working. I did buy an analog gauge filler, but it's 5 PSI off my TPMS.

ARB twin with the universal bracket in the bed. I didn't wanna have to do this ever again.
...there's a SmartCap over the whole thing.

I'm not sure if there's a better spot to put this but I'm looking for a reasonably priced inflator to take my 33" from 15-35 psi.
I "think" I have it narrowed down to;

OR

I'm kind of leaning towards the 88P since I would be doing one tire at a time. I just know the cigarette lighter one I have now is running on borrowed time and I should get something else on deck before it let's out the magical white smoke.

What's everyones thoughts, suggestions, other options?
I've owned the ViAir 88P for quite a while and it has performed well. It replaced the cheap disposible box store units. I like it so much I purchased a second one for the CX-5.

That and a plug kit takes cares of most flats in no time... right on the side of the road.

Good luck to you!

Okay, so I've seen lots of votes for the Viair 300/400 and ARB single and I think just generally the 88P will likely be what I land on... Or I'll hem and haw for awhile longer and go with the "but once, cry once" mentality.

I have this one (because I have other Craftsman V20 tools), and I love it. It works plugged in AC at the house, DC in the car and on battery anywhere you need. It can fill high pressure like tires and high volume like air mattresses and pool toys. It's very versatile, and I like that.

I recently got and tested a GSPSCN inflator (double cyl) from Amazon and it works very well. I was concerned it's rated at 25 amps, but I used the 12V dash socket (20A fuse) with no problem. Very fast, very compact, good price.

This is the one I've used for the last 10+ years. It was in my Scion and now in Soupie. Ran fine from the Scion cigarette lighter and no problem on Soupie or even off Kate's Mazda.

I've run it until it gets so hot that it shuts off (inflating very low, like 5 psi, tires on the FJ). And it only takes two minutes to cool enough to run again.

Seems decent quality - it's a good, normal use pump. It's never let me down.

Now for frequent use off-roading where you might inflate several times in a day, maybe a faster one?

The GSPSCN is the official Soupie blower-upper! =D

I mostly use DeWalt power tools and I really liked the fact that this inflator has an aux power connector if I just happen to forget to bring a 20v battery with me. Mostly use it to fill the tires on my truck, bike and bicycles. Don't get me wrong I enjoy Milwaukee tools but I can't see purchasing the whole kit and kaboodle when I already have DeWalt batteries and tools on hand.

As a rule I limit my battery powered tools. 3 year life on batteries and you are out $$. No telling how long the product will be in production and batteries made. I have compressed air running through out my garage with drops everywhere. Pneumatic tools work great (but are noisier). I do have a few battery powered tools, and they all share the same batteries. They are great for tighter spots.

I use the Vair 88 air pump. It has been very reliable and is solidly built. It is like the Energizer Bunny - it just keeps going an' going! Got them in both primary vehicles.

the big diff in the Viair products in a way comes down to time for duty cycles. So if you are in a big hurry and have big tires lay out the cash on the best one you can get. i never go below 15 - 20 psi when i air down. the 88 gets them back to 35 quick enough for me. by the time i get my fat ass around to the other tires its rested enough to kick back on.
