I J-braced my 6G today. No topper, but will be running a rack on my Retrax cover. It's a lot of work and when you are done, you can't tell you did anything at all. You can only see them if you lie down and look up from underneath.
This wiring will work plug and play for the 7 pin, but don't use the connector. This type fits in the bumper. The wiring takes about 5 minutes to install. The hardest part of the whole thing is cutting out the cutout for the connector in the bumper. It's not hard, but you have to be careful...
I'm 6' and can sit behind my seating position comfortably. My wife rode two hours back there with a whiney dog and was comfortable. She's 5'10. My 5G was a SuperCab, so I can't compare it.
I think the only reason Ford used the 10R80 in the 5G Ranger is because it was available. There was no 10R60 until 2021. 590 ft-lbs is kind of overkill form an engineering stand point. 443 ft-lbs makes more sense.
OP has a 6G Ranger.

6G Rangers are supposed to have J-braces installed if you plan to run a cap or a rack. The question is how many people (like presumably OP) are going to have no idea that they are required? It's stated...
I had a 5G and now drive a 6G. Although the hood is less round, I don't feel like there is any less visability. I've seen a few pictures of the two trucks side by side and the fronts of the hoods look like they are essentially the same height from the ground.
Here's a picture I stole from the...
I had a similar experience to OP's at a Volkswagen dealer a few years back. Since then, I just don't bother with the surveys anymore.
There have been a few dealers over the years who have actually called and asked why I haven't filled out the surveys. I've told them that if the surveys...
The earliest 6Gs delivered were in late March, so very few were sold because they weren't available. I'm surprised they sold 2K in Q1.
I got mine on April 5th and my dealer had only received 2. Mine was an order, but someone drove from Nashville to Lexington to buy their stock one.
Will the...
Just to make sure the format is right, here's the link to my '21. There have been times, I've put this in and it said it wasn't available, but would be back if I checked later.

EDIT: I wonder if it's active...
Put the VIN on the end of this link. It still works for the '21 SuperCab I just traded in, so it should be good for your search.

The brake pedal on my ‘24 feels better than the on on my ‘21 did. I don’t feel like anything needs fixed at all. My ‘21 was bad until I did the Forscan procedure.
It feels a little more spacious up front. I thought based on some review that the forward visibility might be a little less (all the reviews mention the squarer hood), but it feels the same. I'm coming from a SuperCab, so I can't compare the backseat. My wife can sit comfortably behind my...
