I had no idea there were that many recalls for 2019 - the only one I had was the taillight one - which was not a problem on mine. Apparently it affected VERY few trucks, but due to the severity (no tail lights) it was a recall.
Another 2019 that has (knock on wood) had no issues - I just had my 5 year anniversary with it and it has 45k on it. Still on the original battery but I do have a new one sitting in the garage waiting for mine to finally die.
It is a perfect example of "performing to the metrics" - I've seen it over and over. The idea is good, but the execution is horrible, and it does not end up having the intended effect.
Quite honestly, giving 5s for everything, every time feels like "everyone gets a trophy". 5 should be for...
I agree this is most likely the thought process, although Ford would never confirm this. I think at the end of the day, the number one priority is to not do anything that might allow them to lose the "# 1 selling vehicle" status for the F-Series - although if they re-badged the Ranger the...
Now you made me go look.....
This seems to be the definitive version, since our own Phil weighed in to agree that we own 5G Rangers:

Although people are still debating it.....
And now I keep reading and in this one...
There was a whole discussion on this some time back, but I don't remember exactly how it resolved itself. I think it has to do with what you consider a "generation" - and there are some differing opinions on that.
Its been a while since I've seen it, but my recollection is that it looked more orange in the sunlight and more red in the shadows. But I could have that reversed.
Assuming it is the same hot pepper red, it makes a huge difference in the lighting. In some lighting, it looks very orange - in other lighting it looks a lot more red. It is an interesting color....

All the rules for posting something for sale are there. Posts should be Ranger related (no crossbows or pellet guns) and should be posted in the appropriate sub forum based on what it is you want...
I just have to say - @airline tech - your diagnosis skills are amazing - and without ever seeing the vehicle, too! You are a dying breed - not too many "technicians" these days are good at diagnosis - unless a code is thrown or the computer says "replace this part" they are lost.
We are...
I've seen a few comments in those reviews that said in photos it didn't look good, but in person it looked a lot better.
Still sticking with my 5G until/if they come out with a plugin hybrid.
One thing that did sound nice on the 6G is the trailer backup assist - I'm horrible at backing up...
Yeah, this weekend was beautiful - I was out in the woods on Saturday and it was a gorgeous day. I can only imagine what Crater Lake was like. The photos look AWESOME.
While I would LOVE a 6' bed, I have to admit, I haven't really had issues with my 5' bed. I bought a bed extender because I thought it would help a lot, and I've only used it once or twice. The depth of the bed helps a lot.
With that said, I'd still love the option of a 6' bed crew cab, but...
If you are concerned about stuff like this, then you should definitely NOT have a smart phone. Smart phones are the best data collection devices ever created. We live in the age of Big Data. It is very difficult to avoid it.
