Dr Doug, I have the kit. I run a 2inch spacer in the rear, my wheels have a 35+ offset so it helps over stock offset wheels. Like OGMix said you can run a really low offset and that will work too. I feel most who have the kit are running spacers in the rear.
Sounds like the bushings. My truck sounded similar and I tried spraying the upper and lower controls arms with red n tacky spray and the sound kinda went away and then it came back the same day.
I ended up loosening the top control arm bolt and spraying each side of the control arm like the...
Listening to the video again is your power steering fluid full? When the steering wheel moved a little you hear the noise and then turn tighter and it pauses for a split second and makes the sound again, almost likes it’s a steering related issue.
Almost sounds like a squealing belt but...
Hey Spazc, I’ve heard a bad hub bearing and the noise is continuous. It also gets louder with speed, I know you said it only makes noise when turning left but does it make noise on the street or highway? Also do you have 4wd? Could it be the left axle? Just trying to think of different causes.
I think I’ll pick up the same size strap your running.
Also 20XLrangerfraptor, how can I follow your build? I’m interested in the whole rear axle swap and the overall build too, I eventually want to get ride if my 2” spacers in the rear.
Hey natefiggs, first off nice looking truck and build! I know you asked anyone about the brake lines a couple post back and I noticed the same thing, the braided lines were only about half inch to 3/4 inch longer and they where a pain for me to install. I’ve had my Bajakits on since January 2023...
Hey RangerPNW, I have not seen or felt any negatives to the 255/80/17 tire size with the speed you posted. I’ve had my tires for over three years and they are still quiet, run smooth and handle great.
About the e rated tires. This is my first truck and bought the tires right after I got it so I...
Hey Mike, add me to the list!
First it was the global springs you researched, installed and promoted, which helped tremendously in ride quality and now the fitzstick.
I just want to thank you for all the hard work, time and effort you put into this product. Great job!
aww man so they are different, well that’s a bummer. Now ya gotta wait for the correct pair. Hopefully they give ya a little percentage back of what you paid for the inconvenience.
Yes, they used my stock cv ends. The tripod should go in. You might have to tap it with a mallet if it doesn’t feel like it’s going in. It might be pressed in from the factory.
For reference, ORW charged $250 for one axle and $300 for the other. I took them in at separate times.
if you wanna save money and still try it yourself, I think a tool like this might work, although im Not 100% sure it will work but from watching some videos it looks pretty promising. Last...
Hey 916ranger, there is a clip underneath the bearing race that is a huge pain to remove. I tried doing that same on my own, then took it to an axle shop. They couldn’t do it either without saying they might damage the axle.
I ended up taking it to ORW and they cut off the axle near the bearing...
