That's one habit I had to break starting with my Titan not rounding up where it stops I leave it. Pardon my ignorance but do the global Rangers have gas caps or are they like the NA with a spring-loaded stopper?
Globals have screw in caps.

OK, so today's call from the service department in short; Some seals on the engine valve cover have failed in the past and the insulator on the spark plug cover can short. Parts are on order, hope to have my truck back soon cause my lead foot wife says the Tacoma rental is underpowered! Gotta love it. Trouble comes in 3s, also found a nail in a rear tire and I did apparently crack my right tail light when I gently grazed a yellow pole backing out from work. All in all, once I have more direct info, those in wet environments, what rain in Seattle?, may want to check. I'm getting new valve cover, spark plug boot seals etc.. FYI.

Update on my check engine light.
It went on again after I filled up. Ford pass app stated “PCM detected fuel level service goal moving in/out of normal operating range”. The dealership is replacing the sender/pump assembly (PFS 1324 is the part number on the work order) under warranty. Bringing it back next week - looks pretty straight forward even though they have to drop the tank. So for now just running around with the check engine light on which is annoying but at least I know it’s not something wrong and I can’t drive my truck. It’s my daily driver.

On a side note: I had the Works done and they decided to “set the tire pressure to spec”. Hmm if they read the info on the door for my production model - it’s 30psi for this my XLT. But nope they pumped it to about to about 36 psi as the spec.
I just find it funny they said to spec but didn’t read the door jam
But overall - I still like their service department as far as dealerships go. Although I do have a preferred garage which is where our Escape is going after the warranty runs out.
