My 2019 steering seems a little too fast at highway speeds.
If you are not careful it can feel like you just yanked the steering wheel one way when changing lanes.
Anyone else have this problem? It's fine at lower speeds.
Is the electric steering adjustable?
Thanks

it may be the settings of the lane keep assist system. its a good system but often jerky and kinda scary. it is adjustable in the settings on the truck center display behind the steering wheel. or you can simply turn it off by pushing in on the left side stalk.

What's your current tire pressure? Are they stock?

I came to the Ranger from a Mustang. The Ranger steering is quite slow compared to the Mustang. The Mustang had adjustments for the amount of effort required to turn the wheel: Normal, Comfort and Sport. I used Comfort most of the time and I feel the Rangers steering to be very close to the Mustang comfort setting.

Interestingly I came to the Mustang from a Focus ST and found the Mustang to be very tame compared to the ST. I had to train myself to release my grip on the ST wheel when I felt a sneeze coming on for fear of jerking it enough to send the car across three lanes.

It’s just very touchy steering with no play in the steering like older vehicles.
Before my truck was lowered, I was drag racing it at a local speedway, at the end of the 1/4 mile I knew if I barely moved the wheel it would get very sketchy, after I lowered it , it drives more like my wife’s mustang, not floaty, but more solid…Still at high speed , Im very gingerly at high speed..

my 2017 focus is much more touchy than the Ranger as well
but you adapt....much like when you wank with your other hand.

So, you admit to being a "wanker". Do you wank with your right or left hand, or are you an ambidextrous wanker ? :giggle:
