Whoa! Just spotted a smokin' deal on a new Ranger Raptor at a local Atlanta dealer.

Only 300 miles and only $85k

Raptor On the Marketplace

While I have little love for dealers, BS like this surely doesn't improve those feelings.

Unfortunately someone will pay it, and dealers will keep doing it.

Looking like the Ranger may be heading for hibernation again. Sales for the first 1/4 of 2024... over 39K for the Maverick, around 153K for the F150, and fewer than 2K for the Ranger. I don't see Ford keeping the model around with such poor sales.
They were hording them and just recently released them to dealers very late in Q1. I think Q2/Q3 sales will show true numbers

The earliest 6Gs delivered were in late March, so very few were sold because they weren't available. I'm surprised they sold 2K in Q1.

I got mine on April 5th and my dealer had only received 2. Mine was an order, but someone drove from Nashville to Lexington to buy their stock one.

Will the 6G be a huge seller? I don't know, but it is winning most of the midsize truck comparisons that I've seen online since it arrived.

That is exactly what I paid for my 2020 Sport XLT 4x4 with locking rear. But hey "there ain't no inflation!
That's what I paid for my 2WD 2022 XL (STX) SCAB with everything upgraded, to include a locking diff. $30k was what my soft limit was for a truck such as this. I actually paid a couple thousand more for my wife's loaded Maverick XLT with everything added. We could have gone cheaper, but I did want a little more 'luxury' for my wife.

The starting price for the lowest 2024 Ranger is more than I want to pay for a truck such as this.

Could be due to dealer allocations. The dealer I bought mine from could only get 5 Rangers in for 2021, 3 for 2022, 1 for 2023, and none this year. Lack of availability can definitely cause slow sales.
