I didn’t order the nuts but here’s part numbers for bolts and splash guard. Parts should arrive today might try to install later today

Edit: I think this is the part number for nuts W520413-S440

Started the project had to remove all skids

Had to anyway going to install new PPE pan and new trans fluid soon just waiting on filter seal.

But the problem with the shield from what I can figure out is it attaches behind the alternator and it’s extremely tight.

It’s under this sensor and pipe. For easier installation might have to remove sensor

You can barely see the alternator from the top and it doesn’t help I have mishimoto catch can and hoses are also in the area

From what I can find online you have to disconnect and remove the rubber boot on the positive terminal.

This procedure is for the Bronco 2.3L.

Don’t know what I was thinking. It attaches to the CAC outlet pipe I think it’s part of the EVAP system. But it needs to be removed for I can see behind alternator.

Definitely have to go from the bottom looking into taking off driver wheel and one of those rubber flaps. Just to see better and a little easier to install

Also this is the part I was referring to it’s called EVAP canister tube.

A little delay now though found some grease on front pass. axel

I have sway bar disconnect and I think the bottom pin hit the hose clamp. Should be easy fix

just not sure if this part will actually work on Rangers without some modifications.The part is originally for Broncos. Or remove alternator and put it together at same time.

Goes on this stud on bottom of alternator

And other attachment point in here on top of alternator

Here’s a video to see how tight it is might have to trim some off the back to make it easier to install or wait until it goes out and install during replacement.

glad someone is doing the hard part for me. i will sit back and wait for the procedure to be perfected then jump on it lol
