Hey fellers! Long time FORD guy first time Ford truck owner and I'm stoked! My wife and I just bought a new '21 Crew XLT Sport 4X4 in Velocity Blue.

Just ordered my ELM327 so I can Forscan into the truck and shut off the ridiculous Autostop and also fix the spongy brake pedal with a ABS Brake purge. Also need to try and fix the hood gap by lowering the hood latch mechanism.

So far loving the truck!

Welcome Craig! This is a great forum and there's a wealth of info here. Whether you're planning on it or not you're going to end up modding your truck and you'll be buying stuff you never knew you needed.

As you can see we have fun here and joke around but make no mistake you want to be with the "good guys" so here's a little piece of advise.....Stay away from the dancing banana, he's bad news as you can already see. ?:tumbleweed:

And for crying out loud, don't devalue the Ranger with a TG damper.
Carvanna apparently has them flagged for a $3000 reduction if one is installed.
OK, I'll bite.....Whats a TG damper? I suspect I'm gonna feel like an idiot once its explained.

Welcome & I love the color. TGD is dangerous for Rangers to have installed. Your truck will totally hate you if you install one.

Hi Craig,

Congrats! Ranger had a herritage of being a reliable and durable truck that you can abuse and use as a truck or to use as your prime transportation in style. I hope this truck delivers the objective of being there for you in the long run/haul! Enjoy!

best,
Phil

Be careful trying to adjust the hood, not much clearance at least with mine between the hood and headlight

Anyone else find themselves pausing longer for Don's (machinist85) posts . . .

. . . than RANGER PRIDE's posts ??

First off, welcome Craig @Craigmri! the TG Damper is the gateway drug that will empty your wallet. Next thing you know you'll have more microfiber towels than you know what to do with and be buying Graphene 303 and power washers.
Don's @machinist85 posts remind me of how the Ranger bounces around pulling into my drive. I know, if I bought "enter favorite after-market shock here", it would fix that problem. I probably will when the OEMs wear out. For now its a pickup and I'm fine with the bouncing.
RP's @RANGER PRIDE posts are like a box of chocolates. You hope you don't get a coconut filled one. But no matter the result, you gotta go and read them.
