I started farming out brake work years ago, so I'm not familiar with disc parking brakes. But it's my assumption there is a parking brake adjuster in each rear caliper.
With drum brakes, I waited until the parking brake travel was too long before I changed rear shoes since the proportioning valve made them last longer than the front pads.
Like other responses, if your lever is getting long on travel it may be time to replace the rear pads.
I'll keep that in mind next time I take it in for service.

I suspect you have a sticking cable or park brake lever on one side.
Visually look at both rear calipers (park brake arm) and note if one side looks different than the other - the resting position should be the same
Follow the brake cables forward from both rear calipers - to the (Y) where it converts to 1 single cable. One of the 2 rear cables is sticking or the caliper is sticking (frozen) and the spring tension on the rear of the caliper arm cannot pull the cable back to resting position and you should also note one of the 2 cables is sagging down and has more play / slack than the other.
Being that you are nearly maxed out on the adjuster then you have only one side actually working correctly.

So its going to need some T-Shoot to pinpoint down Cable or Caliper, but also check how the rear pads look - Are they worn down?

All pads were good last service, I don't recall what they measured but they were all similar. How much thread usually extends past the nut?

Just a quick screenshot to add to airline tech's post.
An easy thing to see is the equalizer (I think it's called).
This is the "Y" mentioned above.
Check to be sure it's similar to the picture, and not cockeyed/rotated.
