Added a magnetic drain plug at my last oil change. 2020 with 23k miles. 3000 mile oil change interval. Pennzoil ultra platinum, Fram ultra synthetic filter, 90% highway driving. Here's what it picked up. ?

I have always had them on my cars, trucks and motorcycles. I have never gotten very much metal thank goodness on any of my rigs.

Yes, Aluminum block and head.
so then there could be more shavings that don't stick to a magnet? I assume all friction points would be steel to steel except the piston rubbing the cylinder wall
