Probably been beaten to death here but I had not much luck searching.
‘21 Ranger crew cab, dealer installed 2” Ready Lift spacer lift, on 18” ford wheels with 33” BFG KO2’s.
I have a few pounds in the bed. I run with a 110lb roof top tent, about 50lb for the rack for it, and farm jack on a mount. I have the 6’ Decked drawer system which runs about 220lb, plus camping gear.
I’m sure I need a rear shock/spring upgrade, where in the after market should I start looking? It’s a little overwhelming to start. I also tow the occasional boat, about 150 lb on the tongue.
thanks in advance

Too start i would get rid of the spacer kit since it will cause way too much stress on the front struts OffRoad. Second a good kit that would be worth checking out is Old Man EMU.

There are a few different kits and depending on your willingness to spend will depend on the route to go. I myself chose the Nitrocharger Sport basic kit for my truck. The total lift was 2.4 inches front and 1.6 inches rear. What that is in MM I have no idea. The basic leaf springs will allow up to 780 lbs in the rear before leveling the truck. The next level leaf will allow a constant load of 660 Lbs while at lift height(and probably up your alley). In general I really liked the suspension as it had a nice ballanced feel.

The next option is the BP-51 kit. That is the best but also.most expensive kit available through ARB. The shocks are far superior to the Nitrocharger shocks(and other non adjustable shocks). I was hoping to run this on my truck in the future but the truck didnt make it unfortunately....

Here are some pictures of my truck with the kit including towing and with 32 and 33 inch tires.

The cool looking tire is the Firestone Destination XT in 285/70-17(very nice tire to say the least)

Old Man Emu springs and shocks are a great balance of all around performance engineered for specific loads. They are proven. Reasonable priced too. Certainly their websote has even more details on med and heavy load systems.

I have the ICON RTX Progressive leaf spring kit...unloaded it added about 1" over stock ride height.. about 450 lbs in the bed will get it back to stock height...Comes with an extra leaf that can be added or swapped in for more lift if you need it for more constant weight in the future....paired with a good set of shocks the ride is hard to beat...I have paired mine with the ICON 2.5 adjustable valve piggy backs, and ICON bump stops...

Old Man Emu are legendary in Australia. They have what you are looking for.

Just remember new rear leafs won't add legal payload, nor increase your total axle weight limit.

HD leafs will help reduce sag and increase ride quality.

Yep, the axle is the axle. No getting around it. The limit is what it is, you just make it a little more tame by beefing up the leafs.
