I went with the 15" height on the Xtrusion Overland rack to get the height. It does make the tent sick up a little over the top of the cab, but not too much. And it still gives room for attaching stuff on the side of the rack.

Where were these pictures taken? I am looking for cool places to take my Tremor, and this looks like it would be worth the drive.

Nemo tunnel in TN. It was awesome! I'd definitely go back. We made a day trip out of it - 3 hours each way. If I did it again, I'd definitely camp it!

I worked with the owner of the company to put my setup together. Mine was kind of the prototype for the Ford Ranger bed rack. We went back and forth on measurements and nailed something out. There was still a huge question of would it work! It all went together for my truck without issue, thankfully. I know of other folks that have had some issues fitting tonneau covers with the rack, but most seem to have found a way to make it work.

As far as the support goes...

They are a really good group of people, but they seem to be getting really, really busy with their success and not as responsive. They are easy to reach out to on phone though, and will pretty much email back when they can.

This is the tonneau I went with:
https://www.amazon.com/Syneticusa-A...-696------------&vehicleName=2019+Ford+Ranger

It fit well with the bed rack and I consider the tonneau to be a great value for the style of tonneau it is (hard rolling). The only thing I felt lacking were the clamps that hold the tonneau to the bed rails. They are aluminum and would work loose and fall off. I eventually solved that problem easily, and for very cheap! I backed the clamps with nyloc (nylon lock) nuts. I haven't had a problem since!

To hopefully make it a little more easy for you, here is exactly what we put together for my Ranger:
XTR1 Bed Rack for Tacoma
Model: 2005-2021 Tacoma Short
BedRack Length: 48
Rack Height: 15
Bed Rail Bracket Options: Wide Wing Brackets
Bracket Assembly Method: Pinch Back Plate
Bed Rack Finish: Black Rugged Powder Coated Extrusion and Brackets. Excludes front to back top braces)
It's a little easier to order now on their website because they have an order block set up specifically for the Ranger now.
@Glocker Sorry to bring up an old post. The tonneau cover you linked, it says it’s not rack compatible - just making sure it’s the one you got (Just wanted to double check). Thanks for the informative post!

It works with the Xtrusion Overland rack perfectly! To make it work, I installed the brackets for the rack into the truck, and then laid some foam tape down between the brackets on the bedside rail to keep water from intruding between the brackets. I then installed the tonneau cover over the brackets, and then the rack onto the brackets. It took a little fiddling to get it all set but it really wasn't bad and it's stayed solid through some good off-roading!

Let me know if there are any specific parts of my setup that you want to see and I'll snag some pics.

Much appreciated! I might ping you once I do get my truck, just doing some due diligence for now… and your setup definitely interests me! Thanks Glocker!

although I don’t have a tonneau yet, I am hoping you wise individuals can help me out.

Does anyone know if a tonneau suited for GMC Canyon will fit a Ranger super crew? I am trying to find tonneau related dimensions, such as the width at the top of the bed, online and can’t seem to find any info. Thanks!

The only think I can think of to help you figure that out is suggest finding the model/part # for the GMC Canyon tonneau cover and then cross reference it to the model from the same company for the Ranger. If it's the same, then you're probably good to go!

Good luck!

What Height did you go with here? I see they offer from 10" up to 21".

I like this Rack a lot. I think it would work with my Truxedo prox15 cover.

Is this the 5" or 8" height here? I like this option as well. I just need it for mounting my RTT (rooftop tent). I think the 8" would be best setup for what i'd like and pair it with the BillieBars, Molle Panel.

Thank you both for sharing your photos. Very helpful. This is the BedCover I have now.
