I'm biased, like my Dad and my late Grandpa. I'm a Ford guy all the way, and ever since I joined this forum I have no intentions of getting rid of my R5g, just continuing to make it better.

Agree. My stepdad and brother are diehard Chevy guys. My brother has blown up 2 engines (granted, he drives with a lead foot) and my stepdad is constantly having issues with his Silverado. He says it’s because he doesn’t drive it that often… No, it’s because it’s a Chevy! Lol it’s only a few years old and has like 15k miles on. It’s a 2500 so it’s not even broken in yet! He’s already had the transmission replaced, tailgate handle ripped off, reverse parking sensors stopped working, one headlight doesn’t work... Seems like every time he drives that thing, something else breaks. Typical Chevy! Lol my first truck was the same way, always had electrical problems.

It's a Dodge so you know they'll try and shoehorn a Hemi into it. lol

šŸ¤” Wanna bet someone there already tried getting one into a station wagon? 🤣
The dodge magnum was pretty much that.
Well they stuffed one into a mini van so I’m sure they won’t disappoint..the truck might be junk but atleast it’ll be cool and fun at the very least… if a v8 fits into a jeep.. I’m sure we can get some v8 action in a mid size.. especially since our midsize trucks are as big or bigger than 90’s full-size trucks 🤭

Kinda defeats his ā€œI don’t drive it enoughā€ statement.. sounds like if he daily drove the thing would be a pile of parts in the next few months šŸ˜…

I’d say made, not makes. One of my buddies is a mechanic at a dealership, he said 95% of the trucks he works on are new Rams. Apparently they have all sorts of issues. He said he wouldn’t own one if you paid him to drive it lol. Every make and model has their issues but Ram seems to be the worst since the Chrysler/Fiat conglomeration. Personally, I’ve always been a Ford guy so I’m biased anyway. First truck was a Chevy that ended up being a POS. Since then, I’ve always liked Fords.

Well, I was just coming from the point that the ZF8 is an outstanding transmission, and the 5.7 is a decent enough engine.

They do have all the same MDS problems lots of other people have, but if I were forced to buy a RAM it would be a 5.7 with the 8 speed.
