Drove to "neighbor" and cut down, limbed and cut to pieces fifteen birches of 15-20" dbh. Ranger worked as a transport and a watering hole for the whole 2 hours. Based on the chainsaw battery usage I really need the next gen PHEV with more than 150W outlets for charging the batteries.

Put just over 1100 miles on my Ranger last week. Work trip so not fun like a vacation trip. But fun none the less due to the drive. And no freaking airports/planes involved... a real plus. All that said, still love my truck. Love it. Find it to be very comfortable on long drives.

Currently no clue when I'll get to make another long road trip, when or where. Regardless I am already looking forward to it!

Yesterday - The 5g and I did some back road driving around Illinois Bend area. Found lots of unpaved roads. Great views of the outcome of all the crazy rain. Lots of green and flowers, thick brush. Lots of muddy cows too lol. Got to use the winch for a bit. Helped some guys get a broke down truck up on a trailer. When I pulled up and saw how hard they were working and what they were working with I knew I couldnt drive away and not feel guilty lol. So, we hooked up Abbs winch and some tackle to the broke down truck and had it on the trailer in no time.

Went on a road trip with my wife last week to hike the Colorado Rockies. 3k miles from Ohio, all up and down Colorado (f#$% Denver traffic!) and then back again. Got some great views, cake the front of the truck in Kansas bugs; good times!

I drove to the dealership to make an appointment for the transmission.

While there I had them add that my shift boot is cracked, sounds like water is sloshing behind the passengers side dash and there is a whistling sound from the passengers side rear window area.

appointment is the 29th of May, says they will have it 3-5 days. . .

I was hoping they would get it in before I went on my roadtrip to western colorado next week... as all they are going to do, I am sure is reset the trans and say see how it goes, replace the shift boot and tell me they can't figure out the sloshing sound . . .
When my windshield washer fluid gets low I hear sloshing sounds. Took me about 2 months to trace it down after I bought it new.

I took my Ranger to Granger Ford and traded it in on a 2024 RCSB F-150 XL 4x4 with the 5.0. I hated to let the Ranger go, but I'm getting older and the limited space (6'5" 250lbs) finally got to me. I ordered it 29 Sep 2023....just shy of an 8 month wait, and I thought the 4.5 month wait for my Ranger was bad. Oh well, it's all done now. Here's a pic of my new baby 😘🥰 I'll be on the F150Gen14 forum mostly now, but will check back in for the Jokes thread and see how Phil and y'all are doing. Take care everyone !!!
