Hey Ranger fam, looking for some info on adding brake dust shields to my 2022 Ranger. It has a 6 bolt pattern and I cannot seem to find anything. Wondering who may have done this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

What holds dust in also holds heat in. I wouldnā€™t use them even if I could find them.

I thought those went out of fashion in the eighties.

Iā€™ve done some research and really doesnā€™t affect anything heat wise or braking ability. Iā€™m looking at this for more of a way to keep my rims from getting pitted from brake dust

Have you had pitting so far? Iā€™m not the best at keeping my truck clean but I havenā€™t had any pitting. Iā€™m not sure the current brake pads contain the same materials that used to cause pitting but itā€™s possible. Wonder if anybody else has seen it.

I had Kleen Wheels brand dust shields on about every car I've owned since 1985 up until I purchased the 2020 Ranger . They do great and are vented to pull air into the wheel thus keeping dust off the wheel but allowing cooling to the brakes. I think Mr Gasket bought the company out. Not sure if they are still making them but those were the ones to get because they were vented.

No, but did on my last truck and am trying to avoid it

I'd try Tire Rack or Amazon, maybe J.C. Whitney if they still exist.
I put Kleen Wheels on the front of my Dad's BMW 20+ years ago because the amount of brake dust was insane and they didn't cause any issues.

Looks like 'Kleen Wheels' are no longer in business. As rydfree said, they were bought by Mr. Gasket and rebranded as a Mr. Gasket product. You can get them at AutoZone, Amazon and eBay, to name a few. About $40 -$45 a pair.

There's also this

https://www.nanoskinusa.com/products/brake-dust-wheel-protective-shield

And Armorall makes a "dust repellant" too.

I've not tried either.

Try ceramic pads instead of semi-metallic brake pads.
