years ago one of my communication courses in college was "environmental communication". I learned in that course that for a very long time a select few elites have used the environmentalist label as a way to profit and plunder. these groups put major effort into the narrative and efforts. literally did intense psychological studies on how people react to words and images mixed with persuasion even purposefully making environmental problems and contamination of places to push and sell the idea. they basically control all mediums to create a narrative of how the planet is dying. the course also discussed how the guise of saving the planet was used as an on boarding technique to shift people into marxism. basically the study of how the elites can manipulate and control the thinking and habits of others while making a profit. so yes i fully agree this ev thing is much more about money and control than saving the planet. but i do feel like hybrids are a much better route than full ev.When it’s all said and done this will be the next big money grab by our government. All this climate change push in the last few years makes a chosen few very wealthy at all our expense. Build the infrastructure first and then I might be a believer.
*before folks label me and get all butt hurt- no i dont wanna ruin the planet. id love to see pollution cleaned up and stopped as much as possible. its sad that Superfund sites even exist, they should have never been contaminated in the first place in a perfect world. no im not calling anyone a marxists or being political. just saying this is part of what i learned in that class. so now when ever i see something being marketed as green or for the good of the planet i assume its just shenanigans. im clearly not an ev fan. not hiding it.
