It 100% lifted the rear a bit. Here's a pic from about 2 wks ago. Only the rears have the Bilstein 5100's.

Exactly, shocks will dampen the rebound and compression but without springs they cannot raise a truck. If there is any minor lift due to more gas pressure that will slowly be mitigated and the vehicle will return to stock height.I contacted Fox about rear shocks. They wii work with up to a 1 1/2 in lift but without springs they will not lift the rear.
What are the benefits?I bought mine from Les Schwab and they installed all 4 for $1000 and that includes the Bilstein 5100 front and rear. I could have done the rear but did not want to attempt to do the fronts. I love them it made a huge difference in my Ranger.
Primary benefits of the shocks alone is simply the improved dampening of the shocks. Having the shocks dampening correctly will not only improve ride quality, but also handling and braking. What are the benefits?
If they installed the spacers to level it, it's more labor since they have to take the springs off the old struts an remove the spring perch an install them an use them to assemble the 5100. The coil over ones come complete ready to install which saves some time an labor but they cost twice as much or more.I paid about $380 to install my level kit, involves the same amount of labor to R&R the struts, but that included the alignment.
