Those Global springs look the same as the ones fitted to the Aus spec models. We have the same 3500 Kg tow and 1056 Kg load. Some people here who tow heavy trailers have pulled them apart and flipped the downward facing leaf for a reportedly better load height with higher tow ball weights. I like mine just as they are, it's nice soft ride for a pickup, but can still carry a decent load.

Hi Cam,

The multi leaf design provided for "friction damping" the USA monoleaf does not provide this..Monoleaf weighs less but at a price. Common complaint is bouncy ride... Okay by me on my Ranger. Wife thinks it rides just fine, but not like her Lincoln Nautilus. Expectations...Lincoln boulevard ride and load carrying capacity..It is a balance...can't have both with out excessive wheel travel as off road vehicles, many of which can land a jump like a pillow...

Enough said.... Really hope Ford copies these complaints as there are things they could do to improve ride and keep the load carrying capability..BUT...the shocks to do this are much more complex. My take...FORD...Spend the Money.... Alas...deaf ears...

Best,
Phil

Glocker, my truck was only raised .5 inch.

Cmar. I believe they are the same. They came off the wildtrak. Not sure if they differ from the other ranger models but it’s good to here feedback from other members who’s trucks these springs original are off of.

It’s funny how everyone who changes the rear shocks say, this is how the ranger should of came from the factory, because it rides way nicer. Well these leaf springs do the same thing, maybe these fx4 shocks are not that bad after all and were just paired with the wrong leaf springs.

I usually drive my truck once or twice a week to work and every time I get in the ride feels better and better. I Can definitely tell the difference. Just buy them Glocker, you won’t regret it.

Yes it doesn't seem to matter here which model you buy XL, XLS, XLT, or Wildtrack the springs fitted are all the same. Raptor is different of course because the rear is coils. I have an XLT.

The wheels do vary, between trim levels, Wildtracks get 18 incher's in alloy, XLT's get 17inches in alloy, and the others 17's in either steel, or alloy by extra cost option.

I can confirm what Cmar says. My European ranger has the same leaf pack as the Aus model. I've added an add-a-leaf by Ironman to raise the back a bit as the lift kit in the front made the back lower. I still do have a bit of a rake and I like it like that. The add-a-leaf kit is very small and easy to install. It raised the back by 40mm. I've also replaced later or the rear shocks (Ironman nitro) which have longer travel, it drives better with the new shocks.

I did not feel that the Raptor coils provide a much nicer ride on asphalt than the leaf pack. The coils are designed for offroad and flex. Also I've drove a 2020 Thunder which is also leaf based. I believe they've improved though the ride in the front on the 2020 models: relocated the swaybar to the back (compared to the front version as in my 2018), different shocks and LCAs.

In my searching I found springs in AU and the UK that all looked identical, the part numbers were different, but they all were the 5 leaf design.

This seller in the UK is unique situation, he has/had 40+ sets that are basically new, and he is able to use the EBAY global shipping program, somehow Ebay absorbs the majority of the shipping cost, easy choice, from AU shipping was outrageous.

Ordered some this morning $313.50 shipped.

Says I'll see them by the 15th.

What bumpstops you guys using?

And @gryder Any pics of your ride? Side front and rear? I'm probably gonna go with 255/80 17 after I install these and my Fox Stage 1 kit.

I'm still running the stock bump stops. Maybe Cmar or onobeka can take pictures of their stock bump stops to see if they are any different.

You can go to my name and find threads by me. I posted up picks when i got the tires installed. I can take new picks with the springs installed also.

Also the springs might even show up sooner. Mine only took like a week form ordering them. I was shocked how fast they showed up.

Yep you guys got me again, I'm a sucker for a nice ride. Are the longer U bolts required for the thicker stack of this pack vs the single, if so I'll order some up before mine arrive.

I believe they are, I should of checked to see if the stock ones fit but I was to excited and just put on the Rough Country u-bolts without even thinking about it. I asked Fitzmotor before ordering the U-bolts, because he has the tremor and those are longer then our regular ones. I think he told me to get at least an 8 inch U-bolt. The only size I found from Rough Country was the 8.5 that was square and the same diameter rod. They are plenty long, probably stick below the nut about an inch and a half. If you find a different brand with 8 inch square u-bolts that would work better.

I can check the stock u-bolts and measure them to see if they would fit when i get off work.

Awesome! I'll check those pics out.

Also thanks for the U bolt info above.

I don’t think the stock u-bolts will be long enough. Heres a couple pics underneath. You can see, the u-bolt won’t go past the nut, you can probable get a couple threads, if that.

Also added a couple pics of the bump stop and you can see how much clearance there is between the springs and bump stop.

@gryder Before the install, did the rear of your truck lean to the driver's side like many of ours do & did it have the shim under the leaf on the driver's side? Is the back level with the global leafs?

My truck didn’t have that bad of a lean, I believe one side was less then a 1/4 inch of a difference. I had two plates/shims on the driver side and one on the passenger.
When I installed the new springs, I took out the passenger side completely and added one shim to the driver side.
After measuring both sides, if I would of left both plates in the driver side, it might have been level. I can’t really notice it so I’ll leave it how it is. Below is a pic of the plate I’m talking about. The plate I installed was slightly thinner then the one below.
