not to derail or ford hate on new versions but i dont like the 2024 mustangs either. i loved the 2015 and newer until they did a plastic refresh and cabin refresh. They took something that not only looked like a sexy muscle car and made it an ungly impractical car that goes fast...

I got the same deal as you on my '19. At that time the dealers had a lot of Rangers on their lots and I had several fully loaded ones to chose from. I narrowed it down between the Saber and the Lightning Blue but had always loved the Saber color because it was a rare color. I also got 0% which was a bonus.

After it was totaled I was scrambling to find a Tremor because they were getting close to changing over from the 5G to the 6G. Luckily I found a Tremor in transit that was still available for msrp which I've never paid but everyone else was over that. The invoice was $49,210 and I had a email rebate code from Ford for $1,250 off so it was $47,960.00 with fees which is crazy for a mid size truck. I still have my window stickers from my F 150's that were only $32,000. but it just shows you how much prices (with inflation) have gone up over the years. :curse:
I pick up my 24 tomorrow !

Ok, I went down the rabbit hole of looking at the Ranger Raptor videos so now I am getting all kinds of 2024 Ranger videos in my YouTube feed. Looks aside, I feel like the price is a large jump year over year or am I just getting old? lol The Raptor is the only one that I feel is priced accordingly but dealer will ruin that with markups.

I was pretty surprised when I saw a 2024 2WD Lariat for MSRP $46k today at the dealer. That was nearly what a 2021-23 Ranger Lariat Tremor was going for? Lariat FX4 is $50k? These are not even with the v6 engine options.

That and I am not a fan of the front end, I keep seeing a big Maverick from the front rather than a small F150. I consider the Raptor front end okay looking but still get those vibes from it.

In a way I am glad I feel this way because I have zero feeling of upgrading. It is making me want to do some mods I was holding out on.

Am I alone on this or just biased?
You just explained exactly how I feel about the new style. All I see is Maverick… Which then reminds me of a Honda Ridgeline. I definitely don’t see F150. It’s disappointing.
When I see the Maverick, I already know it’s a smaller truck, but I am really in disbelief sometimes at how small it really is.

They were smart because they’re such a market for a no-frills basically just enough to loaded up with some junk and maybe take it to the landfill or at least not to have to borrow a truck when you just wanna grab something larger from Home Depot

But capability wise… Forget it! I remember them talking about some unique rear suspension and it certainly wasn’t designed to be rugged. It was effective for one of the most light duty trucks I’ve ever seen.

I’m not bagging on it and I totally see how great it is for someone who just barely needs a truck, but for me, I just love power and enough off-road that it’s not enough.

And I agree that the prices are wild. I mean, even if there’s inflation, it’s still is a shocker

Another thing I noticed in the Build and Price.
Navigation is on a trial basis on standard XLT or for 3years tech package. I assume it's a subscription after that.

Yeah, before you know it they'll be installing a credit card reader and you'll have to swipe it and be charged a fee (insert amount here) ? ? ?‍? ? ? ? ? just to use the heated seats or ac. Of course the ac will be compted in the winter (because the blend door took a ?) and the heated seats will be compted in the middle of July when it's over 100°.
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Just wish my paycheck would increase as fast or faster than inflation. ? ? ?‍? ? ? ?

Before I bought my 6G, I compared it year over year to an comparably equipped '23 (MSRP not real world with any discounts) and didn't find the price increase to be crazy with the increased content, but can see how the difference between a '19 and '24 looks. Inflation ain't fun.

I was able to get $1500 in Ford Incentives on my 6G XLT without any pushback at all, so there is some wiggle room on price. Raptors are harder based on the stories on 6G, but it seems people are abbe to get the incentives on therm as well in a lot of cases.

Tack on top of that Farley narrowing down the amount of build options and it has knocked me completely out of the market.
I don't plan on getting another one unless they bring back the Supercab. I don't need a full back seat and would rather have a longer bed. I could live with 4-door if it had a bed extender like my old Sport Trac but I simply have no need for a back seat any more. An Eff One Fiddy won't fit in my garage or even in my driveway.

Yep, I'd take one of 3 configurations.

2WD 2.7 Ranger
2WD 2.3 Hybrid Ranger (Preferably with Pro-Power On-Board)
2WD Hybrid F150 (7.2kw Power On-Board)

But, they're not making any of those options. So I'll stick with my 2020 till it dies.

If they ever came out with a 4wd Ranger Hybrid with Pro Power I would really have to consider trading mine in. Otherwise this might be the longest I'll ever keep a truck because there's nothing out there with any "wow" factor.

I really really want something with Pro-Power, it would make traveling long distances in the travel trailer soooo nice. I can do it with a generator, but that's likely to get stolen overnight in a walmart parkinglot. Lot harder to steal the whole rig.

That and stopping places for lunch and being able to just plug in and run the AC would be fantastic.

What’s interesting is that the Maverick is similar in size as the previous Generation (Gen 4) of the Ranger. Our Gen 5 Rangers that we have now are about the size of the Gen 9 - 11 Ford F-150’s. Everything grew.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
It's ridiculous my 5lb bag of sunflower seeds was $22. I just placed an order and now it's $27 and it's 4.5lbs!:mad::mad:

At least with trucks you don't get the shrinkflation cause they only ever get bigger.
My wife gets sunflower seeds off of Amazon from EASYGO PRODUCTS for $100 for 50lbs bag +tax ($108). Store in garage in winter and house in summer. She has 2 galvanized 5 gal buckets w/locking lids, each holds 25lbs.

My local dealer has a handful of 5Gs, including a ‘21 Tremor with 33k miles for $35k. Or, you can pay $58k for a 6G Raptor. Even a new XL will set you back $40k. Guess the advantage goes to folks trading in right now.
